Terms of Service

Effective date: September 11, 2026
Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and REA License, Inc., a California corporation doing business as REALicense ("REALicense," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of realicense.com, app.realicense.com, imprepped.com, any co-branded school storefront we operate, and all courses, materials, and services we provide through them (together, the "Services").

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Contact: Support@realicense.com
Mailing address: REA License, Inc., 3780 Kilroy Airport Way, Suite 245, Long Beach, CA 90806

2. Who we are and what approval means

REALicense is a private vocational school approved by the California Department of Real Estate to offer statutory pre-license courses. Sponsor ID S0712. Corporate license 02248913.

DRE approval of a course provider is permissive only. It is not a recommendation or an endorsement by the Department of Real Estate, and it is not a guarantee of any outcome.

We are a school. We are not a law firm, a brokerage acting for you, or a licensing authority. Nothing in our courses or communications is legal, tax, or financial advice. The DRE alone decides who receives a California real estate license.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. You must provide accurate information when you enroll and keep it current. Completing our courses satisfies the education requirement only. It does not qualify you for a license by itself, and it does not guarantee that you will pass the California salesperson examination or that the DRE will issue you a license.

4. Your account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password confidential and tell us immediately at Support@realicense.com if you believe someone else has access.

Your account is personal to you. You may not share it, transfer it, sell it, or allow another person to complete any portion of your coursework or examinations. Accounts found to be shared may be suspended without refund.

5. Enrollment, course structure, and regulatory requirements

We offer the three statutory courses required for the California salesperson license: Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and Real Estate Finance. Each is a 45 hour course.

The following rules are set by the Department of Real Estate and by our filed course approval. We cannot waive them, shorten them, or make exceptions, no matter the circumstances.

- A mandatory eighteen day period applies to each course and begins on the date you are enrolled in that course. You cannot sit for that course's final examination until the eighteen days have elapsed.
- All three course enrollments are created at the time of purchase, and each course's eighteen day period runs from that date.
- The Fair Housing module must be completed before you may sit for the Real Estate Practice final examination. Completing it does not start or restart any waiting period.
- You have twelve months from enrollment to complete the school. Coursework not completed within that window expires and requires a new enrollment and a new payment.
- The next course becomes available as soon as you pass the prior course's final examination, which may be before the certificate is issued.

6. Examinations, attempts, and certificates

You are allowed two attempts at each course's final examination. If you do not pass on either attempt, you may purchase an Exam Reset, which is a re-registration for that course. An Exam Reset grants two additional attempts, which become available after a further eighteen day period. The Exam Reset fee is shown at checkout and is separate from your course tuition.

Final examinations are graded automatically against the answer key filed with the Department of Real Estate. If you believe an examination result is incorrect, email Support@realicense.com within 30 days and a member of our instructional staff will review it. Our review decision is final.

When you pass a course's final examination, we issue a certificate of completion and deliver it to the email address on your account. You are responsible for submitting your certificates to the DRE with your examination application. We keep a record of issued certificates and will reissue a copy on request.

7. Examination integrity

You may not, and may not help anyone else, do any of the following:

- Have another person complete any portion of your coursework or examination
- Use unauthorized materials, notes, or assistance during a final examination
- Copy, photograph, screenshot, transcribe, record, or distribute examination questions or answers
- Use automated tools, scripts, or multiple accounts to attempt examinations
- Misrepresent your identity at any point in your enrollment

We monitor for patterns consistent with these behaviors. If we determine that you have violated this section, we may void the affected examination results, revoke any certificate issued, suspend or terminate your account without refund, and report the matter to the Department of Real Estate. Certificates obtained through misrepresentation are void from the moment they were issued.

8. Payment

Tuition and fees are shown at checkout in US dollars and are charged at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the full amount, including applicable taxes.

If a payment is reversed, charged back, or fails after your enrollment begins, we may suspend your access until the balance is resolved. Prices may change at any time, but a change never affects a purchase you have already completed.

9. Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel your enrollment and receive a full refund of tuition if you request it within 7 days of your purchase date and you have not attempted any final examination.

If physical textbooks or materials were shipped to you before you cancelled, the cost of those materials is deducted from your refund unless you return them unused and in resalable condition at your own expense within 14 days.

After 7 days, or after you have attempted any final examination, tuition is non-refundable. Exam Reset fees are non-refundable once purchased.

To request a refund, email Support@realicense.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and the email address on your account. We process approved refunds to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Nothing in this section limits any right to cancel or receive a refund that California law grants you and that cannot be waived by agreement.

10. Course content and intellectual property

All course materials, including text, video, audio, interactive modules, practice questions, examination questions, glossaries, and the platform itself, are owned by REALicense or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

When you enroll, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the materials for your own study for the duration of your enrollment. You may not copy, download in bulk, republish, resell, distribute, post publicly, use to train an artificial intelligence system, or create derivative works from any of our materials. You may not scrape the site or use automated tools to extract content.

Feedback you send us about the Services may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

11. AI features

Our platform includes AI assistance features that answer study questions and explain concepts. These features are a study aid. Their output can be incomplete or wrong, and it is not a substitute for the course materials. Where AI generated explanation conflicts with the course content or the law, the course content and the law govern. Do not rely on AI output as legal advice or as a statement of what will appear on a state examination.

12. Communications and consent

By creating an account you agree to receive transactional messages about your enrollment, deadlines, results, and certificates. You cannot opt out of these while you are enrolled.

If you provide a mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages about your enrollment or about our offers. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, and HELP for assistance.

You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any marketing message.

13. Partner and co-branded storefronts

Some students enroll through a storefront operated with a partner brokerage, team, or organization. REALicense is the school and the provider of record in every case, regardless of the branding on the storefront you used. The partner is an independent business and is not our agent. We are not responsible for representations a partner makes about employment, income, commissions, or anything else outside our courses. How we share your information with partners is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in Section 9, and does not delete records we are required by law to retain.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law or by the Department of Real Estate, or if you use the Services in a way that harms other students or our systems. Where the circumstances permit, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

15. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error free, that any defect will be corrected, or that you will pass any examination or obtain any license.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, REALicense and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost income, arising out of or relating to the Services.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REALicense and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third party right.

18. Disputes

If you have a problem, contact Support@realicense.com first. Most issues are resolved this way, and we ask that you give us 30 days to work it out before starting a formal proceeding.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

19. Complaints to the Department of Real Estate

If you believe we have violated the regulations that govern approved course providers, you may file a complaint with the California Department of Real Estate using the Education Provider Complaint form (RE 340), available on the DRE website at dre.ca.gov. You may do this whether or not you have contacted us first.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will post the new effective date at the top and email enrolled students at the address on their account. Changes apply going forward. The regulatory requirements and the refund terms that applied when you enrolled continue to apply to that enrollment.

21. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and REALicense regarding the Services, and they replace any prior understanding on the same subject.

22. How to reach us

Questions about these Terms can go to Support@realicense.com, or by mail to REA License, Inc., 3780 Kilroy Airport Way, Suite 245, Long Beach, CA 90806.
